Account deletion is a permanent action that removes all of your data from Katalyst. This includes your trades, analytics history, journal entries, screenshots, group memberships, and personal information. Once deleted, this data cannot be recovered.
To delete your account, go to Settings and scroll to the “Danger Zone” at the bottom of the page. Click “Delete Account” and you will be asked to type your email address to confirm. This extra step is in place to prevent accidental deletions.
Before deleting, you should export any data you want to keep. The Settings page includes an “Export Data” option that downloads your trade history, journal entries, and analytics as a ZIP file containing CSV and JSON files. We recommend doing this before proceeding with deletion.
If you have an active paid subscription, it will be canceled automatically when you delete your account. You will not be charged for any remaining billing period after deletion. Any prorated refund will be processed within 5-7 business days.
If you are a group owner, you must transfer ownership of your groups to another member or delete them before you can delete your account. This ensures that group members are not suddenly left without an administrator. The deletion page will notify you if there are groups that need your attention first.
