Once your group is created, you will want to invite other traders to join. Katalyst provides two methods for inviting members: direct invite links and join codes.
To generate an invite link, go to your group’s Members page and click “Invite Members.” You will get a unique URL that you can share via email, social media, or messaging apps. When someone clicks the link and has a Katalyst account, they are automatically added to the group. If they do not have an account yet, the link takes them to the registration page and adds them to the group after sign-up.
Join codes are short alphanumeric codes that members can enter on the Groups page. This is useful for in-person events or situations where sharing a URL is inconvenient. You can set an expiration date on join codes and limit the number of uses to maintain control over who joins.
As a group owner or manager, you can also directly add existing Katalyst users by searching for their username or email on the Members page. This is the fastest way to invite people you already know are on the platform.
You can revoke invite links and join codes at any time if you need to stop new members from joining. Existing members are not affected when a link is revoked. For ongoing groups, consider creating a new invite link periodically and expiring old ones to maintain security.
