Trading groups in Katalyst let you build a private community of traders who share ideas, trades, and accountability. Whether you run a prop firm, lead a mentorship program, or just trade with friends, groups provide the tools you need to collaborate effectively.
To create a group, navigate to Groups from the sidebar and click “Create Group.” Enter a name for your group, an optional description, and choose whether the group is public (anyone can request to join) or private (invite-only). You can also upload a group avatar and banner image to give your community a distinct identity.
After creating the group, you become its owner with full administrative privileges. You can invite members, assign roles (manager or member), and configure group settings. Managers can moderate posts, manage files, and access group analytics, while regular members can participate in discussions and share trades.
Each group comes with its own message board, file library, shared trades feed, events calendar, and offers section. These features are self-contained within the group, so you can participate in multiple groups without any cross-contamination of data.
Group creation is available on all paid plans. Free-tier users can join existing groups but cannot create new ones. The number of groups you can create and the member limits depend on your plan — check the Billing page for details.
