Trade Screenshots

Attaching screenshots to your trades turns Katalyst into a true visual journal. Seeing the chart at the moment of entry and exit helps you remember what you were thinking, spot recurring patterns, and conduct more effective trade reviews.

To add a screenshot, open a trade from the Trades list and scroll to the Screenshots section. You can drag and drop images directly or click the upload button to browse your files. Katalyst supports PNG, JPG, and WebP formats with a maximum file size of 10 MB per image.

Each trade can have multiple screenshots — for example, one showing your entry, one showing your exit, and one showing the higher time-frame context. You can reorder screenshots by dragging them and add captions to describe what each image shows.

Screenshots are displayed in a lightbox viewer when you click on them, making it easy to zoom in on price action and annotations. If you use charting software that lets you copy charts to the clipboard, you can paste directly into the upload area.

For the best journaling workflow, consider taking your screenshots immediately after closing a trade while the context is still fresh. Annotate key levels, your entry and exit points, and any notes about market conditions. This habit, combined with Katalyst’s analytics, is one of the most effective ways to accelerate your growth as a trader.
